Imagine an illusion imagining it can dis-illusion itself, aka become "enlightened".
Thus is ego's hilariously sad plight.
Ego is the very pinnacle of of endarkenment. There ain't no enlightenment happening there, just futile variations on the theme of Look At Me Being Spiritual.
It's put way better elsewhere, but "I" (hehe) was shooting for gist.
And of *course* it calls re-membering (in the morning) its illusion-as-though-oh-so-real "awakening"!
How does it get over itself?
